I am enjoying the "No on 8" commercials and our esteemed governor that urge California voters to vote no so we can "keep the government out of our lives." Let's see, California voters passed a proposition stating marriage was between one man and one woman. (Government out of our lives in the voting.) Then the state Supreme Court ruled it was unconstitutional to prevent homosexual couples from marrying each other. (Last I checked, the state Supreme Court was part of the three branches of government.) Now there is a constitutional amendment the people of the State of California can vote on stating whether homosexual marriage will be allowed or if traditional marriage will be the standard. (Meaning no government entity will be involved in the decision.)
So let me ask you, which side is "keep[ing] government out of our lives?" Vote Yes on Proposition 8.
